PC versions only download selected resources

When installing Logos in Windows it downloads all of my resources in my library. It would be nice to be able to select which resources I download and maybe leave some on the server to save space and not clog up searches (like in Kindle where you have an archive that is only on the server and then particular resources which you want on your computer/device). This seems useful for people who bought packages but don't necessarily want all the resources included all the time. I feel this way especially since the Perseus resources became available. It's great to have access to all those resources, but I would only put a few on my computer at a time if I had the option.

Hi Michael

While Logos does download all of your resources you are then able to remove them if you wish.

This is known as "hiding" (although many people find this term non-intuitive) which results in them being removed from your library and from your hard-drive. They are still available on Logos servers and can be "unhidden" if required. More details on this are at http://wiki.logos.com/Hiding_Books. This process allows you to hide one book at a time but - as the article points out - Mark Barnes has shown it is possible to do up to 10 at a time - http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41127.aspx

In terms of "clogging up searches" you can look at the use of Collections so you can restrict the scope of searches you do - again more details at http://wiki.logos.com/Collections and http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Limiting_your_search_to_part_of_your_library

Just spend the last half hour hiding resources and I'm not yet done (10 at a time mind you). With this in mind I would like to suggest something like a 'library manager' where you can see what resources are where and select large amounts of resources to move from one place to the other. With most things moving to the cloud, this seems logical.

I agree that better library management would be really helpful.
