I am interested to find out how the word εὐαγγέλιον isbeing translated in NIV 2011.. I can find out all the translations in NRSV, but how do I parallel those verses in NIV 2011..? any advice please..
Thanks.
If you are using Logos 4 there should be an "add versions" link that you can use to compare the NRSV to the NIV 2011 or any other Bible for that matter. Just make sure it's in verse view.
If have NIV84 (with New Testament Reverse Interlinear), then can search NIV84 and add NIV to verses for comparison:
Keep Smiling [:)]
Thanks for the advice.. it does help but not fully.. There are 76 occurrences of εὐαγγέλιον, 66 of which are translated as `gospel'.. but when I search `gospel' in NIV84, there are 96 occurrences...
Sorry I do not know how to display a print-screen here..
Regards.

This different is probably related to the fact that the verb for of gospel is also used but is counted differently. So the English translation might be "proclaim the gospel" or "preach the gospel" that would show up in your English search for gospel but not map to εὐαγγέλιον but instead would be mapped to euangelizo.
The Bible word study on an English word has a translation section that can be used to help perceive these things. Since the NIV is a dynamic equivalent translation it can be a more difficult to isolate these things due to the way the tagging works but you should be able to figure it out.

Because some are translated from the verb form as in "preaching the gospel" (Lk 9:6, 20:1) or substituted for the pronoun for clarity (Rom 1:2). Try the search gospel NOTEQUALS lemma:εὐαγγέλιον
Where the lemma is not translated as 'gospel' it is translated as "good news" or "it". In some cases 'gospel' is not associated with the lemma (Gal 2:7, 2 Cor 2:12) because of the Interlinear alignment. Try the search lemma:εὐαγγέλιον NOTEQUALS gospel
Thank you all for the advice.. I finally get something like this:
But how do I print the listing..?
