Offline Reinstall of Logos 4. How?
Is there a supported way I can perform a fresh install of Logos 4 to a new PC?
Assuming I have a backup of the install media package and a backup of the resources as of some given date.
How can I obtain my "License Keys" for my purchases without needing to go online?
(This was possible under Logos 3)

Apologies: Logos 4 does not have a supported way to export/import your resource licenses. Logos 4 always uses network connection to sync your license information.
Wiki has => Quick Installation onto multiple computers whose steps (in all 3 methods) include unchecking Automatic Download so can use network to sign-in and sync your Logos 4 resource licenses.
Logos support has => http://www.logos.com/L4/support/InstallingfromInternet with online installation and download.
Also, Logos knowledge base => http://www.logos.com/support/completekblist includes:

Keep S.,
Thanks for your reply. I will look into using some version of the "backup" and quick install methods.
Its a shame we are forced to hack and/or reverse engineer Logos4 to get basic features that are a standrd part of all other known applications since the dawn of Time. Yes I'm unhappy!
I think I'll call CS or maybe Bob's direct line some time once the weekend is over.
I'm thinking it might also be time to keep an install of Logos4 inside VMWare or some such tools too. I'm getting sick of the Logos Cloud-only model.

Some of KS4J's statements need clarification:-

You can request your "licence keys" from Customer Support via email and then import them into Logos 4 (I have done that).

Unchecking Automatic Download is purely to prevent downloading of resources when online (Method 2 and Method 3).
Whenever you sign in online (with Use Internet = YES) Logos will sync your license as necessary. Otherwise it will use your existing local license, which also happens if you install offline with Method 1, because you will have copied your local license across.
Note that Method 3 can only get the license after sign-in, same as a normal fresh installation.

Apologies: from looking at all Logos 4 Windows support articles => http://www.logos.com/support/completekblist importing Logos 4 licenses without a network connection is not mentioned.
Curious how license import is done in Logos 4 ?
Noticed Logos support has a Diagnostic Logging article with login dialog box => http://www.logos.com/L4/Support/DiagnosticLogging
Clicking "without the internet" shows option for license file email or disc:
By the way, product page => Logos Bible Software 4 Media Only (JG) [DVD] does not have how to use media without internet connection (and lacks Logos 4 license file contact option for offline use).

I was sent a *.lbslic file and was instructed to "use this file with the Logos 4 Updater". As this was proof-of-concept (2 years ago) for offline installation I would hope the instructions have been improved by now (there is a Logos4Updater.exe in \System).

No offence you guys but I'm now thorouhly confused(!). I went to method #1 ... that needed msi installers, but my install directory is completely empty. No hidden, etc.
So plan b was the dvd KSFJ mentions. That doesn't work either ??
Now I guess there's a license file but I haven't yet found an offline installer.

Method 1 states "NB. copy the *.msi files for a custom installation from the default installation path!"
i.e. if you have a custom installation the files are found at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Logos4 (which is a hidden location).

To use Logos media only DVD for offline installation, suggest contacting Logos => http://www.logos.com/about/contact for instructions how.

So, going forward from here, after every new purchase we should all be asking Customer Service to email our most recent License Keys!
It should only take a few weeks or months before we get an update that then includes new feature to export our License keys, just as Logos3 has.
I REALLY want to be able to do a fresh offline install based on install media, a backup of resource files, and my most current License Keys.

One option is creating a Logos User Voice suggestion for License key export/import => http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4
Looking at => Logos 4 Release Notes noticed 60 stable Logos 4 releases over past couple years so using installers already downloaded may be prudent compared to using install media with older version. Also some Logos 4 resources need appropriate data type added into application, e.g. Logos 4.2a SR-5
