I see there is Logos 5 chatter staring in various posts about current or future features.
Please advise if Logos 5 will continue to support the current API, or an enchanced version of it?
Logos 5 will support the same API as Logos 4.5; we don't have any API enhancements planned for the initial release of Logos 5.
Thanks Bradley,
I recently purchased a new PC, so it might be time to rediscover the API features and drop you and Bob my wish-list in case you are open to adding a few bits into the planning. Thanks.

When will Logos 5 be completed? I'd like to see which new books we will get. [:P]
Blessings!

i hope that Logos will complete version 4 before going on to version 5. There are many promised fixes and a few features that were posted by Logos for version 4.
Hopefully L5 will not be a kneejerk relative to European judicial decisions. Is so, the sooner the better.
Amen! Steve. I'm shocked that there is any L5 chatter what so ever. How about finishing one version before starting the next. I'm all for upgrading...I'm running Portfolio now and would love a fairly inexpensive way to add another few thousand resources (that would put me over 10K); but...L4 had quite a way to go before we are ready for another version/upgrade. IMHO. Let's start with complete Mac parity, vastly improved notes (No 1 on uservoice) and an extreme speed/efficiency improvement please.
I have no inside information, but I expect Logos 5 will be about the "engine" rather than anything to do with new books.
Maybe its about less Microsoft .NET and WPF. Maybe it turns out to be limiting moving forward, to get all aspects wanted to run on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Mobile on ARM (rather than Intel / AMD).
Maybe to have more feature-rich and feature-complete on MAC.
Maybe to support new platforms more fully, including Web / Browser based, Linux, Android and iOS mobile devices, Black Berry, and so on ...
Who knows whats driving the changes, but maybe there was some major road-blocks with the choices made for Logos 4. Maybe they hit some show-stopper and could not bring some of the "Promised" features to L4.
Or maybe its just a more minor refresh, and the future Logos 5 is just a new rebranding of L4, and more about Marketing than the tech.
My point is that to call for Logos to "finish Logos 4" first might not really be what we need in the end. Maybe we need to move forward to get all the feature ticks we are wishing and expecting.
The main thing is for Logos to make every effort to carry forward our resource licenses, and user-content customers have invested in over the years. Its clear from comments that some of the users have Logos product purchases of US $5000, $10000 or maybe beyond $20000 in some cases. Clearly those customers are expecting Logos to continue to deliver the goods. If that means a new release of the core engine every few years to follow major changes in computer and operating systems changes, so be it.
"European judicial decisions" ?? care to elaborate?
