Thank you for any help.

Can I save a search of a collection? I do not mean the result of a search. I often search a collection of illustration, quotation, anecdotal material for related stories, quotes, etc. I do this often enough that it would be handy to set a search that I could open without restarting the search tool from scratch. Can a collection be prioritized? I have collection of favorite commentaries - but I have preferences among these as well. I would like to prioritize the collection. If I prioritize the commentaries in the library, will those results be carried over to my collection? Thank you for any help. Blessings, Floyd
Floyd,
One way to save a search would be to use layouts - create your search (with no other panes open) then save that layout - name it appropriately - then you can bring it back anytime you want it.
As far as I know, collections cannot be prioritized. I have seen that asked before and no one, I've seen, has answered in the affirmative. I, and others, think it would be good, but I don't know if it is possible or planned.

Can I save a search of a collection?
There are two ways to do this:
To the right of the search 'find' box there is a small black arrow. If you click on that it will bring up a list of your most recent searches. I don't know what the limit is, but any on there can be selected and the search will automatically run. You can then change the information you are searching for and run the search again on the collection or resource you used previously.
Another alternative is to open up 'Favorites' when the search you want to save is open and the active window, click in the Favorites window on 'Add' and it will always be there.

No it can't. However, prioritized resources are respected whether or not they are in a collection.

Your second is a better solution than mine. Thanks Mark.
That makes sense - thanks.
Afraid of that - hope they can work something out.
