Personal Books ToC Disappearing

I'm having an issue building some personal books. With one book I have built, the table of contents feature works perfectly. With two others, the table of contents worked fine on the first couple of builds, but as I edited my book and recompiled it, the ToC disappeared. I tried opening the source documents and going through all the steps again. However, I can't seem to get the ToC to work again.

On one of these books, I wasn't having any trouble until I started adding milestones. The other document has nothing fancy in it; the ToC just quit working after a couple recompiles.

I'm writing my books in Word 2008.

Any idea what's going on?

If your books aren't too 'personal' then you can attach one to a post and somebody will have a look at it for you - otherwise responses will only be conjecture.

I've successfully compiled these files and the ToCs appear in both.

This is running Logos 4.5 Beta 13 on Windows.

I know this is the Mac forum but thought it worth checking out on Windows.

It looks as though the resources are ok, need someone else to check out the Mac aspects.

Hi David, I was able to compile both of your documents using 4.5 Mac Beta 13 and the table of Contents show up properly for both. I will attempt to reproduce on the Mac using 4.3 SR-8.

Okay, so now we have a puzzler:

Since others were having success with my files, I tried deleting the whole book from my Logos library and building it all again instead of just recompiling the same book. The ToC shows up fine in both. So for some reason, the way I rebuilt the books before would cause the ToC to disappear. Deleting the whole book from my library before rebuilding it seemed to do the trick. I don't know why, but at least it's working now.

Glad you have it working now - but it does sound strange!

Hopefully this extra information will help determine the problem - assuming it wasn't a "glitch" that is not really possible to track down.
