Installing L4 on new Windows 7 desktop

I read some of the Wiki before attempting to install L4 on Windows 7 and found the following which confuses me because I setup Windows for me to be an administrator and am logged in as such. Does the following mean that it will not run for me when I am logged in as an administrator? This is from the Wiki:

"On Windows, Why doesn’t Logos 4 work when I install it as Administrator?

Logos 4 is designed as a per-user application. (The only reason the installer will ever need admin rights is to install the .NET Framework, or system-wide fonts.) It does not publish itself to other users’ accounts on the same machine once it is installed.

To use it by two separate users on the same computer, you will need to install it under both accounts. And note that it will sync settings, documents, history, etc. between those two accounts (assuming that you log in with the same logos.com account on both Windows accounts)."

Joan, you should have no problem running it as an administrator, or limited user. I have it installed under two user accounts. As an administrator for the Beta version, and limited user for the stable one.

EDIT: Of course you did since one is a beta. [:D]

But it sounds like onemust have to do a separate install per user account; I am thinking of setting up a separate standard user account for myself in addition to the administrator account.

Yes, you need two separate installations. The wiki has some info go prevent you from downloading twice.

That is confusing and I will change it to clarify that there will be problems if you install using right click "Run as administrator" i.e. you can install into any type of Windows User Account but Logos4 doesn't need Admin privileges. PreRequisites will need that privilege but it will request it (an Admin user can accept that whereas a Standard User will have to provide Administrator credentials like name/password).

The Windows built-in "administrator" account does not have a folder in C:\Users while other administrative and standard user(s) have their own C:\Users folder(s).

If you have enabled the built-in "administrator" account, then trying to install Logos 4 will encounter issues due to the lack of C:\Users folder for the built-in account.

Personally using a standard Windows 7 account with a custom installation of Logos 4.

But that was not the issue because the first account installed for Windows is always an Administrator one with a user profile and the built-in "Administrator" account is disabled.
