Unable to do a Bible search

Looking at screen shot, appears trying to search Bible for text "Matthew 28" ? Clicking on triangle below Matthew allows a search range to be specified.
If looking for Matthew 28:16-20 references in other resources in my Library, personally would do a Basic search for <~ Mt28.16-20>
Note: Mt28.16-20 is an abbreviated form for Matthew 28:16-20 that is quicker to type.
If looking for Bible cross references, footnotes, and notes to Matthew 28:16-20, personally would limit Basic search to a collection of Bibles:

However if you look at the drop down list on the scree shot, you will see that there is a problem with the spacing in the scripture selection and it will not allow me to select from the list or add it to the search window. I am using OS X 10.72 and not 10.68

Can replicate screen shot using OS X 10.6.8 by entering text Matthew 28 so a wide drop down for search entry appears:

I tried to change it from the triangle with the same results. I get o hits even when searching top bibles.
Wonder about searching for Bible verses using a Basic Search ?
For grins, tried a Bible Search looking for a Bible passage in my Bible Grid Favorites collection, which found 0 results. Changing same search to Basic Search found many results:
Bible Search Text fields do not include footnotes:
In Contrast, Basic Search Text fields include Footnote Text:
Also, Basic Search can search Bible resources for text outside of Biblical Passages. For example, the New Living Translation (NLT) includes a Bible Verse Finder section after the Book of Revelation.

If you want to search for a term within Matthew 28:16-20 you can first create a Passage List that includes only Matthew 28:16-20, and then use that in your search paramaters.

The issue here is Matthew 28 is not actually part of the biblical text...it's a location. In that search you were trying to do a text search of the Bible, but searching for a location in the text. You could search for "disciples" and have Matthew 28 as a range. This is because chapters and verses were added centuries later. Helpful for finding a location in the Bible, but not something in the text itself. You can do a library or collections search for Matthew 28 because that can be found within the text of a commentary or dictionary.
