Passage guide, collection drop down menu

After playing around with the collections tool I find myself with a long list of bad choices in my drop down list for collections when I am in the Passage guide.

I am looking for a way to clear the memory and clean up the list now that I have a clear understanding on how to use the collections tools.

Is there a means to do this?

If I understand you correctly it sounds as though you want to delete some of the Collections you have made - they will then not appear in the Passage Guide options.

The Wiki article on Collections at http://wiki.logos.com/Collections covers this and says:

Deleting

Open the collection Pane by selecting Tools>Collections.
Click Open and hover over the name of the collection you wish to delete. An “x” will appear to the right of the name. Click this “x”.
At this point your collection has been deleted.

I am so sorry. I wasn't a clear as I should have been. I did try that and hoped it would work for me but it was not helpful.

What I want is when I have a passage guide open and select a collection. I go to select "settings" on the tab and there is this huge drop down where I have a long history of collections I have deleted and some are duplicates. Something I don't understand is some duplicates will show a listing but another with same title will not. I believe if I could get this drop down to match what I actually have in my collection application and nothing more I would be happier because I would know I am getting the matches or search results I want.

This is very strange!

I believe that what you should see in the dropdown menu are currently defined Collections, Logos Series and tags which you have created.

You should not see Collections which no longer exist or duplicates.

Are you able to post a screenshot showing this? - for details on creating / loading Screenshots please see http://wiki.logos.com/Screenshot

From what you are describing it sounds as though there might be some sort of synchronisation issue - something deleted on one system is not being flagged as deleted on another. To check whether this might be relevant:

what version of Logos are you using - 4.3 or the beta of 4.5?
are you running Logos on multiple computers - and if so, are you running the same version on each?

You don't understand? I don't understand either and I can't recreate the problem. Do you know about when this happened - after a new version of Logos? after a major purchase? after some other computer problem? I'm wracking my brain trying to come up with some scenario that could create this problem. Depending on your time and location it may be worth having tech support look into it as it sounds like a database corruption problem to me. Just a guess - I'm still wracking away.

Edit: I see you posted before me Graham - I think your idea that it is a synchronization problem is a good possibility.
