Norton Security marking trusted makes Logos run faster.

I am running the free Norton Security that comes with my Comcast service. I recently opened it and clicked on tasks and then Run Norton Insight. I marked Logos that was running as trusted along with other trusted software. I feel like I have a new computer. I would say I got a 30% to 50% increase in speed with Logos!!!

I have Norton 360, and have marked the top level of the Logos 4 directory structures as EXCLUDED from realtime scanning. My thinking is that I wanted Norton to leave my Logos files alone, every time they are opened or read or written to.

I never did any real testing, so not much idea if it helps, but I dont seem to see some of the kinds of performance problems others report.

In the case of my Laptop, its Windows Vista 32-bit with 4 GB of ram. Its maybe 2 or so years old, and not the fastest laptop round, but it runs fine most of the time. My main PC is Windows 7 64-bit, lots of ram, dual disks and a somewhat high-end i7 quad core. What performance problem are people talking about? It works fine for me ...  :-)
