I cannot seem to assign a shortcut to any highlight... A-Z are all greyed out and I've confirmed that there are none assigned... any hints? Is this a bug?
A review of all the release notes for 4.5 shows no removal of this feature, so I'm guessing this is a bug. Is it specific to me, or is anyone else running the mac beta experiencing the same issue?
Found a key assignment bug in Logos 4.5 Beta 14, right click on Atonement to assign shortcut key creates or changes shortcut key assignment in Solid Colors Palette:
When using keyboard shortcut, was surprised by highlighting color in different palette (and corresponding Note file creation). Also tried assigning a shortcut key in couple other palettes, which always assigned keyboard shortcut to first style in first palette, which is buggy.
Personally like ability to delete highlighting by deleting item in Note file.
Workaround for keyboard assignment is using Logos 4.5 Beta 15 on Windows to assign shortcut, sync to Logos servers (wait for sync completion), switch to Logos 4.5 Beta 14, and Sync. Personally experienced: "Error occurred during synchronization download" to download one item (keyboard assignment to A for Atonement in Inductive palette) so waited for sync warning to appear, then sync again did propagate keyboard assignment, which works.
Trying to change keyboard assignment for Atonement to B caused first style in Solid Colors to be assigned B; changing Atonement keyboard to A in Logos 4.5 Beta 14 on Mac effectively cleared Atonement keyboard assignment as A was assigned to first style in Solid Colors.
Keep Smiling [:)]
After restarting without using a layout (i.e. just starting blank, opening highlighting and a bible), I am able to reproduce the exact behavior as laid out by Keep Smiling 4 Jesus.
I'm wondering if developers could use logs of this activity? Or are they also easily able to recreate the problem?
Hi Mike,
No need to give us your logs - I can easily reproduce this and will send a case to our Development department.
