Logos 4 upgrade
Hi, I'm looking for some help.
Yesterday Logos 4 was downloading something for hours. I closed Logos when it reached 1500% and even more! Then I reopened it and it was indexing and angain downloading the 1,92 GB of stuff. Download was finished and I had to close the computer (the indexing was at about 15%). Today I opened Logos 4 and there was an error message. 5228.Logos 4 Upgrade.tiff
So now I'm downloading the "Logos4Mac.dmg" and try to do it all again, hoping it will work. Can anyone help me here? It's been one month since I didn't open on this computer so it only had to index and download few more purchases I've made for Christmas.

The percentage counter has a bug that gives you strange results from time to time.
Did this computer have perseus downloaded? 1.92 GB is quite a bit!

Wiki Mac Troubleshooting has => Update Error with steps to manually update application. Logos 4.3 SR-8 is the current stable release. The error message shows an older Logos 4 Mac application was launched. Curious about Logos 4 Mac version in Applications folder ?
For indexing, one option is changing Energy Saver settings so computer does not sleep (slide to Never) while display can sleep after a few minutes. Indexing does not need the display turned on. Can plug in power adapter and let indexing finish while doing something else. Merging postings for indexing can take hours (amount of time depends on library size).

Thanks. Meanwhile I've downloaded the setup and "reinstalled it" (about 200MB). It work, it did the indexation (about 15 minutes only) and download 2,4 MB. I reopened, then "update resources" but resources are still missing. Check these 2 captures :

I've got the resources only on Biblia and my Ipod. Also on the main Logos software page it says that the new version was updated to 4.3 SR-8.
And by the way, yes all the Perseus was already download few months ago on this Mac.

Try restarting Logos another time to see if it updates more.
Another question: Is this the only computer you have Logos installed on?

Nope I have two desktops (one on the campus and at my mother's place). Next week I'll get my MacBook Pro so I'll install it one this one also.

Puzzling that Biblia shows more resources than Logos 4 Mac; wonder if any resources hidden ?

Good point. I did not know until yesterday that "hidden" books remain visible on the mobile apps (unless it is also a sync issue that takes a LONG time to resolve).

Thanks, actually I just have to add the .PNG picture to make it appear online.
Now, how could I disclose those hidden resources then? I never hid them.

If you didn't intentionally hide any, then you probably don't have any hidden. To find hidden resources:
- Go to the "Logos Bible Software 4" menu (next to your blue apple - upper left hand corner)
- Click "preferences"
- Scroll to the very bottom. Your hidden resources (if any) will be in a list.
