Recognition of apostrophe in the find box

An apostrophe is commonly used as a substitute for letters. It would add to the usefulness of the find box if it recognized the apostrophe. I don't know if there is a technical hurdle to jump to do this, but for example I was looking for Jacob's trouble in Jeremiah in KJV and the find box yielded no results.

The apostrophe on your keyboard is not the same apostrophe used in typesetting (it's straight, not curly - ' not ’).

On Windows, you can hold down the ALT and type 0146 on the numeric keypad to get a curly apostrophe, which the find box will find.

It would be nice it you didn't have to, but I'm not sure that you shouldn't have to - but certainly it's a reasonable feature request/suggestion.

I'm assuming that you mean "If I want to type a non-curly apostrophe …" If so, simply type it as you would any character. As to using a laptop without a numeric keypad (quel dommage), you could bring up CharMap and copy the character to paste it in. I once was having a problem with a keyboard which temporarily required that I do that with every character until I replaced the keyboard (what a pain!)—it works.
