Keeping my General Notes

With my first  logos bible I was able to keep my General notes, my highlighted verses etc and have it transferred onto a new computer, especially, after I change or reinstall my computer. With the Libronix series I am using, this is not so. When I change my computer all my notes are gone and its such a labour lost for me.

Please, can somebody tell me how to make this work for me with the new Libronix.

I'm not sure whether you are asking about Libronix or Logos4, so I'll answer about both.

To distinguish Libronix from Logos 4, read the following: Libronix is sometimes known as version 3 of Logos. It opens with a red icon with what looks like several books on it. Logos4 (the latest version of Logos) opens with a blue icon with a magnifying glass and a cross in the middle. The Logos4 icon looks like the icon at the top of this forum page (immediately in front of "Logos Bible Software Forums").

For Libronix your notes are found in your documents (MyDocuments for XP or Documents for Vista/Win7) under Libronix DLS/Annotations. If you close Libronix on your new computer and get these files from your old computer and put them in the proper place, Libronix will find them the next time it starts up. If that doesn't work for you, please respond back and we'll see if we can help you do a few other things to get it to work.

For Logos4, your notes are not stored in your "Documents" folder, but in what some call 'the cloud' (they are also stored on your hard drive, but copying them from one computer to another can be a complex and unreliable process). To retrieve your notes after reinstalling or installing on a new computer, make sure that you sign in to Logos 4 with the same User ID that you used to install it initially (even if your email address has changed). Then make sure you have "Use Internet" set to "Yes" in your program settings (Tools> under "Settings" > Program Settings - it is on by default). If you have a firewall, you may need to explicitly allow Logos4 to get through (consult your firewall software for how to do this, if necessary). If you have done this, Logos4 should automatically download your notes for you. If you've done this, and it still isn't working, report back and we'll see what else we can suggest to get this working for you.
