Adding a note seems to have changed?

I used to be able to highlight a single word or phrase in my bibles and then make a note. The "Dot" would be next to my word or phrase and the entire word or phrase would be highlighted in the color I designated. Now it just leaves a dot at the beginning of the verse (by the number) but doesn't highlight the word or Phase. I don't like this change - How can I go back to the way it used to be?

Did I do something accidentally to change things?

Hi MarCya

It sounds as though you are creating the note by "reference" as opposed to by "selection".

These are different options at the top right hand side of the right-click menu.

unless I am missing your method or question, when I highlight text and rightclick/select "add note", the note is created and teh whole text is highlighted.

Graham I think you're right - but I need step by step instructions on how to change from reference to selection. I don't seem to find where I need to right click??
