Question on another Reading Plan Sync issue
Hi all,
Just got an iPod Touch, been enjoying playing around with it - and of course it runs the Logos iPhone/iPod app!
Here is my question, I apologize if this has been discussed but I have not seen it, reading through this subforum.
I am well aware of the reading plan sync issue that will be ultimately resolved with version 4.5 and then an update to the iPhone app. This is a different problem, I think.
I have a book I have been reading all year on my desktop/laptop via a reading plan. I am almost finished, but I am behind.
The plan goes from Jan 1 2011 to Jan 4 2012. As of this morning I was on the reading for Dec 31, 2011, so I had 5 sessions left.
The book is 283 pages.
Yesterday I downloaded the Logos app, and explored around. When I clicked on the reading plan, I saw a couple of funny things:
1. The Reading plan was on day 2 of the plan that showed, starting August 19, 2011. It was on page 206. Oddly, Aug 19 is my birthday!
2. The reading plan only went to 220 pages, thru page 220. Maybe that's all that is showing since on the iPod I am "behind" back to August.
Why does it show back to August? I have wireless in the house, so the iPod has been connected all the time.
Thanks!

I am not fully sure if I followed your problem, but perhaps I can describe the situation on my new iPhone (that my parents gave me for Christmas! [:D]).
The iPhone is brand new and I received it about 2 weeks ago. The installation of Logos is therefore, less than 2 weeks old. The reading plan starts at Nov 26, even though I am never more than a couple of days behind at any given time. In other words, when the app was installed, it downloaded readings that had already been completed more than a month before.
By the way, the app is designed to have about 2 weeks worth of readings downloaded. My last "reading" on my iPhone is Dec 10. This is part of the known sync issue.

Thanks Alabama, it seems like the Reading Plan on the iPod doesn't sync at all now. It is stuck on about 2 weeks of readings from August 19 on, no matter what I do on the desktop or how long it takes. It just never updates. Is this normal, is there no syncing at all?

Actually I think I know what it is, maybe someone can confirm. I have been on beta 4.5 (now RC) on the desktop, which is Sync v2. I seem to remember when the beta first came out of 4.5, Bradley said this would not sync with v1 Sync (which the iPod app is). Hence no sync. Make sense?

Forum thread => Any success creating new reading plan? follow-up: using newly created "Read the Bible in a Year" plan on an iPad does sync with Logos 4 Mac, but reading plans created in Logos 4 Mac do not appear on iPad.

This is my situation exactly (except with ipad and logos 4 windows). The reading plan I accidentally created on ipad keeps showing up in my laptop, but plans created in logos do not show up on my ipad. For some reason the sync seems to travel form ios devices to computers, but not the other way round.
Waiting patiently for update![:D]

Matt - Welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having troubles. As you have read, Logos is working on it. We all are anxious for an update. The good news is that a key component is getting 4.5 "out the door," which looks like it will happen soon.
It's out the door!

Logos is planning a short 4.5a Beta development cycle to update Sync v2 for reading plans => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/44237/329612.aspx#329612
Looking forward to stable 4.5a release soon along with corresponding iOS 2+ release for reading plan sync.
