Find box covers part of Bible text

When I use Ctrl+F to find the next occurrence of a word or phrase, the Find box covers part of the text of the book I am reading. Sometimes the matching text even appears underneath the Find box. If the Find box were added to the Toolbar for the active panel, it would not cover the text. It could be placed just to the left ot the history arrows and appear or be hidden as necessary.

That drop down wasn't really noticed because most of us run with the locator bar (CTRL+SHIFT+L) open. I do think I remember a post around here where Bob said something about it....

As for moving it to the panel toolbar, that may be a problem as things are added there later.

The problem is that even with the Locator Bar, the Find box goes even lower and partially covers the text.. It also covers the scroll bar as I mentined in the other email. I would be happy with it on the same area as the Locator Bar, if it were the same height, did not obscure the book text, and did not cover up the scroll bar.

[:)] the only way in my picture for that find box to cover text is for it to be almost gone anyway. Are you seeing something different?

Ah, wait - I just read this line again. I can see that being a very tiny problem. Personally I wouldn't think about it and just bump the arrow. But still I suppose we might at least expect the found result to appear at a readable spot.

For me it covers 1 1/2 lines of text. It also covers up the top part of the scroll bar, so the Up button cannot be clicked on. You can also see that the matching term is partially under the Find box. Since I usually leave the Find box open, I don't want it to cover up the text. I can live with it, but this is not a polished user interface.

Oh, I see what you mean there Harry Screenshots are so helpful. I Suggest opening the locate bar in the interim while they figure out what's going to happen to the find box. I just leave it open.

Yes, if I open the Locate Bar, the text is pushed down, so the Find box only covers the top few pixels of the text. The Find box still goes a bit lower than the Locator Bar, but it is minor. While it still covers a bit of the scroll bar, the up arrow is now accessible. It is not completely clean, but is is more usable.
