Why does it not surprise me that Logos would have a decent sale like this BEFORE they release our Christmas credit. Surely this was on purpose.

I guess I won't be taking part in these sales. I don't twit and just deactivated my rarely-used Facebook account a couple of days ago when I started getting feeds on my computer from Facebook that listed all of the web pages that my friends were visiting. This is an absurd invasion of privacy that I am amazed anyone would put up with. Are people really okay with this?

David, it doesn't invade my privacy because I only access it on my computer and do so only when I want to.
Logos has been offering 50% off daily deals through Twitter for some time. This is the best resource I've seen them offer this way in some time. If I didn't have it, knowing its value, I'd jump on it.

David, you don't need a Facebook or a Twitter account. The coupon code is on the Logos Blog or you can visit their Twitter page without an account. https://twitter.com/#!/logos
I just pick it up. It's a great price on an item that's been sitting on my Wish List. Thanks Logos.

Well, I'm just glad I got this cheaper than 50% during a Christmas sale 2 years ago. So far no sale after that has been able to surpass it. I paid 24.95 so don't feel so bad for the 50% off...hehehe [:P]. Hey think about it this way, if you buy it with your Christmas credit, even if you pay full price, it'd be like you got it for free. Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting that Logos is guilty of anything. Rather, I am saying that Facebook is obscenely intrusive. It is PURPOSELY DESIGNED to elicit as much personal information as it can from its users, which is then passed on to paying clients. That is its main revenue stream...YOUR INFORMATION. The ability for you to interact with "friends" is just the bait that makes getting your info easy. The new timeline on Facebook has the same purpose, only it is a method for gaining access to info about you from even before the point when you joined Facebook.
Facebook has been in constant hot water for not being straight forward and above board regarding its privacy policy. It is loaded with tracking software that monitors your every move and every click...and then monitors you when you leave the Facebook website and then click on another website that has any Facebook associated links. If a page has a FB like button on it, FB knows that you visited that page, whether you click the button or not...and NEARLY EVERYONE has a FB like button one their website. Facebook is following you practically everywhere you travel on the internet.

Just go to Twitter: http://twitter.com/Logos (no registration etc needed) - it's the topmost entry. A shortened link will lead you to todays resource: http://www.logos.com/product/5339/jesus-in-context-background-readings-for-gospel-study?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_content=textlink&utm_campaign=dailydealbaker
but you need to remember (or copy) the coupon code, DD...... which Logos doesn't want to be shared on the forum.
Hope this helps,
Mick

You beat me in posting it, but please edit out the code (when I did last time, KS4J kindly reminded me that we shouldn't post them here)

Thanks for reminding me. I guess I'll never get it why we shouldn't post the codes here in the forum when they are available to everyone via Twitter - but that's another thing. [:)]

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I already own everything they have offered from Baker.
I hope they offer these though:

Logos wants to track where you got the coupon from so they know how effective Twitter is in terms of marketing. HOWEVER, you are incorrect - they are not available to everyone via Twitter. In many countries Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc. are all blocked which makes it quite difficult to be marketed to
for good or bad. I only heard about "Baker week" because it has been mentioned here on the message boards.

I had this book in my cart and decided to wait and see what else was on tap for this week. I figured I'd get one of the books being offered this week. I had just spent about $700 on Logos over the weekend and really couldn't afford anything else.
After seeing what's been available I wish I had bought this one. Oh well.
