If I am studying a book which I select from Layouts - and I finish reading for the day on a certain page, can I the next time I use it, open it and continue from that same page. If so, how.

Hi Norman

By default, the next time you open a resource it will open at the last page read.

If you want to specifically mark a place you can use bookmarks. For details on this please see http://wiki.logos.com/Bookmarks

Norman - I have set Logos to open to my last used layout (rather than the homepage). In this case, the books that were open are re-opened to the same spot. It technically is opening to an unsaved snapshot (which is based on a saved layout). If I change the layout, I would need to save the layout to have everything open back to the same place. 

Saved layouts will open resources to the same page/location that they were when the layout was last saved. If you open a resource by itself, it will open where you last were in that resource.

You need to right click on the saved layout in the layout menu, then update it. Next time you open that layout it will start at that place.

Philana is right if you plan on closing/changing to a new layout. I used to religiously save/update my main layout every time before I closed Logos, but have since discovered that I only need to do so when I am going to close my layout. The key is to turn off "open to home page."
