Panes don't expand to fill space when others are closed

Hello,

I'm enjoying using L4, just trying to sort out some teething problems. I remember seeing on the intro video that when one pane is closed, the others expand to fill the available space. This currently isn't happening for me; any suggestions? Do I need to change a preference or something?

In Him,

Pip

Clare - Sorry, but I haven't seen that before. Which videos were you watching? Do you have a link?

If you close a pane that covers half the screen, the other half does, unfortunately, not expand. For some reason they assume we want to open something else there instead. If you close something smaller, the remainder should expand automatically.

    Sorry – disagree.

The 'all in a box' model is bad enough with out them guessing which panel I want made bigger.

Panels that are too wide become hard to scan and most that I have set for limited height are windows on small pieces of information.

  • Wonder about opening 3 resources, then dragging them into equal widths (or use Layouts menu to click 3 vertical bars), then close the resource on the left, then close the resource on the right (so middle resource expands to both sides).
