Everything seems to have installed fine, no problems with highlighting, however the wee beastie refuses to sync up! Have tried all and various suggestions I found on the forums, to no avail. Diagnostic log enclosed!

The log shows that Logos is unable to sync your Notes files. It seems to sync up lots of other things but tries twice to sync notes, fails, and quits.
That's as far as I can go. Unless someone else chimes in with more knowledge, you'll need Logos' help. Logos' office opens in just about seven and a half hours. I think I'd email them with your log file attached so they have access to it. tech@logos.com
My records show that you were on a list of customers that Tech Support contacted (via email) on Friday about a highlighting issue. This same problem is most likely causing the sync issue you're experiencing now. (If you didn't get their email, or you did follow the instructions in it but are still having this problem, please let me know.)
