TIA
At the moment, I don't believe you can change back and forth, though I would love it if we could.
For instance the NASB is verse by verse while the ESV is paragraphed.
Bummer... I HATE using the paragraph format for study...not so bad for devotional reading.
I noticed this today and realised that I wished it had the feature to switch back and forth across!
Maybe someone can answer this. Is there a way, using a visual filter, to find the verse number? What would the syntax look like?
Considering that versification is a rather late addition to the text, that is often quite artificial and breaks the flow of thought, I find this a bit mystifying. I know that paragraphs are also added to the text, but at least they are less intrusive than verse divisions.
Not trying to tell you how to study, just expressing a bit of confusion.

The logic could be as simple as making it easier to find the verse. Like you said, the paragraphs were added as well. We could always go back to no punctuation or spaces as well.
One line per verse makes it much easier to find a reference, plus notes icons stay off to the side, making for a much cleaner display.
True. I tend to toggle back and forth across, depending on what kind of study I am doing. For instance, when I am comparing verses with other translations, I find it easier to see the text in verse format as it makes it easier to move back and forth across. I know this is subjective and personal preference though.

I hadn't thought about that one.
