Logos 4 recognizing Logos 3 Resources

I know that this has been discussed in the forum somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I just installed 2 books on L3 from a cd that I received a few days before L4 was released (The College Press Church History Collection), but how do I get L4 to find them?

This computer is not connected to the internet.

This may be a problem. I think that L3 has to sync its licenses
with the Logos license server before L4 will see new licenses (unless
Logos already knows about the licenses, in which case, Thomas' solution will work).

Some places where I go, there's no internet connection available. It would really be sad if I can't use L4 on those computers.

Maybe one of the Logos Techs can shed some info about this. I've been told that you don't need an internet connection to be able to use L4.

I noticed that I can indeed go offline with it, but only after my license has been synched through the internet.

If it needs to synch my license with Logos servers, then what's the use of going offline if I can't get L3 resources into L4 afterwards.

You only need internet access to (A) sync licenses (B) download resources, (C) sync your user created documents and (D) if you care/ update your home page.

Once you've sync'd licenses the scan command will work. After that you can run offline to your hearts content.

Oh, but I forgot (E) get the service releases.

I did the "scan command" and the number of resources went up from 1806 to 1814, but I still cannot access the books through L4. I assume it is because L4 does not recognize I have a license for it. I will probably have to call customer support and ask them.

I'm also not sure what other resources were included on the cd besides the 2 books I purchased, but L4 found something.
