Numbers Next to Psalms in WBC

If you have the WBC and open the volume on Psalms, along the right of each Psalm in the book are numbers like (2+3) and such. I'm guessing this has something to do with poetic structure, but not sure and couldn't find it in the book. To be honest I only scanned the introduction.

Anyone know what they are?

As a consequence, the approach to meter in Hebrew poetry which has been adopted in this volume may seem to some to be rather old-fashioned. In general terms, I have adopted the general system espoused by G. B. Gray and T. H. Robinson (The Poetry of the Old Testament 30–46); the meter of lines is indicated, for example, as 2+2 or 3+3, the numbers referring not to syllables (for which larger numbers would occur) or accents (though there may be coincidence with accent), but to “units,” which may sometimes be single words, or sometimes compound expressions.
