formatting content slides

I can't format the text in the content slides. I can format to a limited degree the words in the song slides. What am I missing here? It's extremely difficult to set up sermon slides. I'm using song slides for that purpose, because it has more options for the text format. I really need help with this. Thanks

We are examining the possibility of allowing all slide types to style text. Our focus has been on stability and performance of the application, but once this is improved we will once again begin to add new features and enhancements. We really do appreciate your patience with this process.
