Logos App thinks it is offline when in is not.

Thanks for the updates. I am really enjoying the highlighting features.

This has been irritating me for a while now and relates to version 2 and also the previous version. My Logos app often thinks it is offline when it is not. Everything else on my iPhone is online. I don't know of any switch to put it into online mode. The only thing that works is to shut down the app and re-launch it. Just a minor irritation but this does happen once or twice a day.

Am I the only one with this experience? Is there a better way to force the app into online mode?

Did you write about this recently? I think I read something like this recently. I have never experienced this problem. My guess is that it is somehow related to your internet connection. Are you on wifi or 3G? Do you always have a full signal, or do you sometimes have iffy coverage?

Is there a better way to force the app into online mode?

Not that I am aware of, sorry.

No, not me, but could confirm that I might not be the only one.

It happens when I am on Wifi. I have a strong wifi signal and it has happened to me both at home and at work (so two different networks). My cellular signal is practically non existent in both locations.

I have never had the app go to offline mode when I was connected to the internet, so I am not much help. My guess is still that your internet connection drops for a second, sending the app offline, although it is strange that it happens in both locations.

I can confirm that someone else had this problem. At first, I thought they just didn't know how to turn airplane mode off.

Thanks for your help alabama24. I am managing, as I type, to switch the iPhone from offline to online and the app is working as you would expect and switching automatically. That's the problem with intermittent issues I suppose. Anyway, it does sound like it must be something to do with my setup, otherwise there would be others with the same issue. Like I say, it is just an irritation.

No, I have not run any Beta versions of the Logos app. I wish I could and would love to be part of the Beta program but it is a closed program with only a small number of people allowed by Apple to take part. If you know of any spare places then please let me know.

I've had this problem intermittently on my iPhone, but not my iPad, and it hasn't occurred recently (although I'm not sure if it's since the v2 upgrade). I've normally killed the Logos app and restarted it, which does seem to fix it. It's one of those things that is a minor irritant, but not something that causes me major problems (especially now that I've used the "download all" button on my iPad).
