Searching for a Scripture Reference in a Basic Search

Is there more than one way to search for a scripture reference in a collection [BASIC SEARCH]? i know, for example, I can use <=Jn 5:24> to search for any occurrence of John 5:24 - but are there other ways to do this?

Not for an exact match. The Cited By tool can be used to find occurrences in a range of verses e.g. in John 5:23-29, but not in John 5:23-6:1 (because that crosses a chapter boundary). See table for ways to Search in http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Searching_for_Bible_Verses_and_other_References
What else did you have in mind?

Dave, I was just thinking about getting JUST the verse John 5:24. [I know that if I remove the = sign it will incluce a range including John 5:24.] But I was wondering if there were other methods [like maybe quotation marks or something else] that can do this kind of thing.

There are no other methods as far as I know. Why do you need another way of accomplishing the same thing? Doesn't <=John 5:24> work for you?
EDIT: You could of course search for "John 5:24" in quotation marks, but it would only find places where books mentioned that string exactly, which would not include all references to John 5:24 (these latter might look different, e.g., Jn 5:24 or maybe just 5:24 if the book of John was already assumed to be under discussion).

Thanks, Rosie. That answers my question.
