Bug: Missing Syntax Search & incorrect Metadata after reinstallationClosed
This was essentially a fresh installation as I removed the Logos4 folder after uninstalling, but using Method 3 to get the resources. Ostensibly I was checking that Collections would be sync'd after the recent fix.
I found:
- Collections were restored
- Syntax Searches (41) were NOT restored
- Resource Metadata was incorrect as per my bug report from June 2011
The Syntax Search docs are regarded as a NEW SYNC ITEM TYPE...
The lousy metadata is readily identified in terms of type:dictionary, encyclopedia and lexicon + missing Series data. This needs to be fixed as a matter of urgency.
EDIT:
Then I got a 24 MB download of resources that were HIDDEN (I had refused this to allow initial indexing of resources to complete). When the Indexer realised this nothing happened, thankfully. BUT why were they downloaded?

I will pass your logs and notes onto Development and let you know if they request any further information.

Is the Syntax Search issue resolved in 4.5a RC2?

I can finally report this as complete in 4.5b after repeating the above installation. Resource metadata was up to date, ALL Collections and other Documents were restored, and there were no issues with Hidden Resources.

This is similar to what used to happen with Collections in that making changes on another installation caused the SyntaxSearch to sync across (2 of the 41).
