Logos iPad App NEEDS FOCUS GROUP

The interface for the iPad is frustrating Storm , there is no simple way to load even a preferred BIBLE quickly. PLEASE ADD some quick launch buttons that can have 5-10 resources ready for easy use.

Whoever is in charge of the user experience needs to get a FOCUS Group of users and define some basic steps that most users would want.

I for one, would have no problem paying for an upgraded iPad/iPhone "Premium App" that was robust in features.

I am wiling to even pay a significant fee... not just a pittance $ 0.99, I am willing to pay a $50-100 app price, to get the program working right.

I am sure it is developer time that makes this thing happen and this is a function of money...

How many other forum user out there are willing to help by paying more for a "Premium App"????

Considering we just got notes and highlihgting, for free, I really don't see much wrong with the app now. I find it very easy to switch between resources I concurrently use as well as having split screen. I am more than happy with the app that is free. I surely do not want to pay $50-$100.

Well, you can just get in the habit of putting new/interesting books into "favorites" and moving them to the top of the list. Have as many books as you want at your fingertips. Granted a "put in favorites" button on the info page of the book would greatly facilitate doing this, but I don't expect to see it happen any time soon.

With notes and highlighting, I am happy with the app. It will make waiting for new features easier and the price of the app now is perfect (free)!

I am more than happy with the app that is free. I surely do not want to pay $50-$100.

I am suggesting Logos keep a free app, but, also have a premium app for those who want greater functions. There are many programs that offer a lite version and a premium version.

I am offering to pay, because I know if takes money to make these changes. I did not want the app is free excuse to prevent the request... so I for one am willing to help offset some of the costs.

I totally agree!!! The iPad app could use some serious usability testing and improvement. The OliveTree app is not perfect, but overall it just seems a lot more polished and refined both visually and usability-wise.

You can also go back to a previously opened resource but doing a two-finger horizontal swipe, but I've found it to be hit-or-miss. It's frequently misinterpreted as a different gesture (e.g. single-finger swipe).

Please explain how you put a book into favorites. I only know how to put a verse into favorites. thank you.

The favorites item opens the book (at a particular page). My statement is a bit unclear. I (try to remember to) save the title page as a favorite if I am not yet ready to read the book.

When you are in a non-bible resource, an upswipe will bring up the following menu. I don't think the link will be to a particular page, but it does link to the book.

Totally agree! I tried to use it but end up going back to the YouVersion of the bible. I'm willing to volunteer my time or pay for a premium version. Love the PC software, but wish the ipad experience would carry over.

I think that the ability to define some single-tap short cuts to our most-used resources would be helpful. Right now Logos isn't holding back on the app due to a lack of desire to invest but simply due to a lack of qualified programmers. They have opened an office in Phoenix, AZ so that they can attract more qualified programs to work on the mobile apps. A premium app (although I would be willing to pay but am glad that I don't have to) isn't the solution. Keep suggesting stuff that you would like to see implemented. Dave and the team read the forums and Logos is the epitome of a company that seeks to understand consumer desire to and tailor their apps appropriately

As a workaround for bouncing between two resources quickly, I have taken to running Logos and Vyrso simultaneously. I will then four finger swipe back and forth between them to basically allow for quick changing between two predefined resources. If you dual pane each app, you can quickly move between four resources.

I would consider it if we could get it off the cloud so that we could side load items that can't be clouded… Like other Apps do.

What items are you speaking of? Personal books or something else?
