Currently $14, $12 should be acheivable with a few more bids ...

Actually, it ought to be possible to reach $10, or even $9, but right now it's moving so slowly that even $12 seems doubtful. It can't be more than 1-2-3 bids left to $13, though.
Maybe it would help if the key features didn't include "Over 2,000 pages of notable scholarship on Numbers and Deuteronomy"!
Yes, we need some more folks to join at $12 before it closes this week.
more folks to join at $12
I'm in for $12
Ouch! I'll post a 'bug' report.
Yes, but for anyone studying Judges this is indispensable.... This collection is essential for students, scholars, pastors, historians, teachers of the Bible, or anyone studying the books of Judges. [:$]
But seriously, at $1 a book, not all volumes need to be of the highest value....
It would already be going for $12 is everyone who has already bid would have bid at $1 per volume...... [;)]
Make that two bug reports....
I've made it 3-4 actually (so far...).
Descriptions fixed !!
Now we can take the price down... [:)]
Hey check out the graph now: the $12 mark is just near the finish line! You all at $13 need to lower your bid a notch or two. We have time to make the deal a dollar (or less) per volume. Can we make it less than $12 by Friday?

Nonsense! A bid of 13 is already a bid of 12 as well. Lowering won't accomplish anything, except make them more likely to miss out.
If everyone, who has a current bid higher than $12, all of a sudden changed the bid value to $12, the orange dot would rise even higher - maybe enough to "pull" the $11 dot to the finish line. I don't know how the algorithm governs the links between the dots. If we have new, additional people bid at $11, I would expect a rise of that dot - may or may not cross the production line, but a rise never the less. So, the lower price (dot) either gets "pulled up" by the surge of the adjacent dot above, or, enough folks bid at a lower price and moves the dot up. Just my opinion. We know this is Logos' big social experiment. [:P]
What strategy would you recommend to lower the current price?
If everyone, who has a current bid higher than $12, all of a sudden changed the bid value to $12, the orange dot would rise even higher
NO! It won't move even the tiniest tiniest bit! A bid of 8 = one bid on 7 + one bid on 8. A bid of 9 = one bid on 7 + one bid on 8 + one bid on 9. And so on. So lowering a higher bid will only lower the dot you're moving away from; it won't raise the one you're moving to. All you do is risk losing out if the lower price doesn't reach 100% in time -- and, what's worse, you risk raising the price for all the rest of us. We might suddenly find ourselves in a position where so many people have lowered their bids too much that dots that were once over the line are now below, and the only one that remains over is one of the higher ones.
There is only one strategy to lower prices at this point: get new people to bid, and get people with lower bids to raise.
However, this collection has now passed 12.

Right, we need more/new people to bid on this... folks, it's the best way to build your library! [Y][Y] Another Bump, it's at $12 right now, you could make it less if you haven't bid yet!.
I agree. We need new folks to join the bidding and/or existing ones to raise their bids to match the current price point.
Looking carefully at the current shape, it is possible to get this down to $11 if those currently bidding $10 would all move up to $11 (but it would need to be a concerted and sustained effort by all currently at $10)
Anyone already at $12 or above should hold firm in case some of those bidding $11 pull out at the last minute as reducing bids runs the risk of putting the price back up.....
Kowabunga!!! Fgh says "NO" ------------- easy there fella! You don't want to blow a gasket!!! :-}

Concur with analysis if Logos users with bids lower than $ 11 would raise their bids by to $ 11, the orange dot for $ 11 would progress closer to 100 %; not know if raising bids to $ 11 would be quite enough (real close).
Along with encouraging bids lower than $ 11 to be raised, also can encourage more Logos users to place new bid of $ 11 or more.
Keep Smiling [:)]
I am in. I placed my bid.
Last call -
likely to go at $11
