After installing on my new Dell laptop (A8 quadcore, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD with Windows 7 Home Premium with all important updates installed) LOGOS opens to a blank workspace with header icons grayed out and soon pops up a message window saying
"Logos Bible Software 4 has stopped working"
In problem details, Problem Signatures 02 and 05 are the version number 4.1.3.4767 and Problem Sig 09 is "System.ArgumentNullException"
The only log file is attached.
After poking around in the wiki last night and using the Google search on the forum I did not find a solution. However, I did learn to check for the presence of .NET Framework 3.5.1 in the features list. It had 2 sub features that were not enables so I turned them on. It didn't help.
The installation seemed to have gone well. I started it with the old DVD disk for LOGOS 4 and logged it when I was asked. The download took a couple of hours (I think) and the indexiing operation picked up after a reboot and finished in a couple of hours.
Everything works fine on my desktop. Our license is for Silver plus a few additional books so the library is fairly large.
