search issue

I did a search and it made a window with the results. the reference was clickable, as well as the search term. However other words returned were not clickable or right clickable. So if I wanted to look up a word in the sentence other than the search term, I had to do another search. For example I searched for Barbabas. One of the results used the word "cognomen". I wanted to look that up in Merriam Webster but could not from this search result window

If there is an interesting term you'd like to look up...click the word to open that resource then click the other interesting word to do a study...

I think we have to be careful that we don't request so much intelligence from the search results that it takes forever to see them! If a random word takes your interest then look it up!

My vision was that each word is tagged with a variety of markups. These tags are available to the program whereever that word is. I vowed not to comapre to version 3 but that is how 3 worked. I could right click a word anywhere, including in a search result window, and get a context sensitive menu via a right mouse click that would have selections based on the word tags. I cant figure out how to look up a word in 4 without disturbing a workspace or existing result set.

I agree this is a step back in functionality. Only the searched for words in the 4.0 search results seem to be able to be interacted with. I noticed this before. I can't say that I often used this capability, but I understand your interest in preserving the functionality you are used to. I'd be interested in Logos' thinking behind this.

I just checked and this functionality is also absent from the text in 4.0 note files. It existed in 3.0 note files, but not in 4.0. You cannot right click on anything in a 4.0 note file and get anything more than an option to copy, cut, or paste.

This functionality is also not available in 4.0 Passage guide where it was available in 3.0.

It seems that surface text in Logos guides and reports is not active text as it was in 3.0.

Again, I rarely used this functionality which is probably why I didn't miss it before you pointed it out.
