Thomas Oden's 3 volume Systematic Theology is very helpful in this regard. He has a number of tables summarizing different positions on various doctrines, plus extensive citations to primary sources from the Apostolic Fathers forward.

This one has been stalled in pre-pub so long that it is a historical issues book rather than a current events one.

This book is an assessment of the theology injected into various church denominations by the Keswick movement. Ultimately, it provides historical theological viewpoints on Romans 6, 7, & 8. While it takes a definite, Reformed, position, it does spend most of its time describing alternative viewpoints and the people who have championed them. I found it quite illuminating since most treatments of sanctification are very narrow without comparisons to contrasting positions.
