My favorites files jump into the wrong folders when I try to move them.

This is an ongoing problem and therefore reproduced regularly.

Example. 

I have the folders listed a-z

If I try to move an item from g to b , it will probably stop somewhere in between and end up in another sub folder and when I stop at b , it will most likely have a file from that subfolder in b.

Please help

I have windows run on parallels on a MacBook pro with optimal ram.

Wondering what input device is being used to drag and drop ? track pad ?

Note: while using a Magic Trackpad, have learned to drag lock by a quick tap followed by tap and drag.  When reach edge of TrackPad, can let fingers do walking (alternating) so can keep dragging until desired screen position is reached.
