iPad 2 navigation speed
I have a new iPad 2 & navigating w/n the Logos App is so slow as to make the program unusable. It takes so long to turn pages, to go to a new verse, etc. Should I uninstall & reinstall?

Hi Angelia,
Which resources specifically are causing you difficulty and do you have the resources in question downloaded to your device? It might also be helpful to clarify which build of the app you are using (select 'More' and then 'About') and whether you are working from a 3G, Wifi connection or offline.

Thanks, Andy. I have 2.0.2. I was on WiFi only in church. Here at home I'm connected to the internet, & it seems to be working at the proper speed. The resource I was using in church was the NASB which I had previously downloaded. Bc it was downloaded, I didn't think it should be slow.

I've had similar experiences when the wifi is slow, like at church. The book, which was available offline, took a long time to load and page turn. This is a different user experience than in the past and seemed to coincide with the new version offering notes/sync functionality (my guess). My guess is there's a lot more going on across the net with notes, etc., even though the book is downloaded. My solution was to go into airplane mode, taking my iPad offline. That made the app must more responsive; as before. That of course, means you have to have the books of interest downloaded already.

Sometimes I have noticed that the Logos app will slow to a crawl and certain functionality doesn't work efficiently anymore. My solution is to restart the app by double-tapping to pull up the running apps list, then click and hold on Logos, click the x. Then restart. That usually fixes issues like these.

Thanks, Paul. I'll remember the Airplane mode tip. Today at Wendy's it went right on their WiFi & worked great, also offline.
