from Hebrew word in the text to main lemma in Hebrew dictionaries

Already a long time I wonder why when I right click on a Hebrew word and choose a dictionary it first goes to the article or conjunction attached to it. (When you want the main lemma you have to make another choice, otherwise it goes to the article or other attached material) .Would it not be possible to automatically choose the headword in stead of the article or other attached material and leave the option to go to the article or attached conjunction as secondary. This seems more logical and practical to me and saving time. (I have often ended up in finding the article in the dictionary).

It sometimes happens that the program will inexplicably choose the conjunction (ו) or a preposition (e.g. בְּ) rather than the lemma for the main word. In that case, if you right-click on the word, the unwanted item will appear highlighted. What you need to do is to click on the lemma and select "Look up" in the left panel.

I have not so much experience with this forum. I meant to answer you. If I right click on the Hebrew word, the searched lemma automatically will be the first word, so the article or preposition or conjunction. It must be possible to program the program in such a way that it automatically ignores the prefixed article, conjunction or preposition and chooses the first real head word. If you then still want the article, conjunction or preposition or whatever, you still will be able to choose it, but it should not be the default choice of the computer.

Hebrew isn't that simple e.g the last two Hebrew words of Is 60.8 - which part do you want to be selected? It is easy to ignore the Conjunction and Preposition but there is still a choice to be made.

If it would be easy to ignore the conjunction and preposition, then that already would help.

A good possibility would be to divide all the word categories in functon words and non-function words. And then let the program automatically check the non-function word first. Then still the other choice(s) can be made. But that would imply that if you would like to have the non-function word/head word and you would give a return after the choice is offered you no longer would go automatically to the article or preposition.

A simple solution could be to make a filter which would filter out the articles and preposition and other function words (which form a closed set). It could be work in progress to see what more should be done.

I understand that a choice has to be made, but now the choice is to go to the first element of the construction, which is often the not looked for article or preposition.
