Here are my log files. I believe all of my books are on my hard drive now. I have disabled Windows Update and turn off my AVG before I try to update or index. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you, Michael Lyman
Have you been able to use L4 yet, or are you tring to open it up for the very first time? If you have been able to use L4 recently, what were some of the last things you were doing, EX. customizing shortcut bar.?
Clarification: What were some of the things you were doing right before it crashed? (If you have been able to use L4)
Yes I had been able to use it. I had been doing my daily bible reading, word searches, browsing my library. It worked fine until a couple of days ago. I have not installed any new software, and had not just downloaded a new windows update or anything like that.
Here are my log files.
Only someone at Logos can say more than I can, but it looks like you exited L4 (at 12:22:44), and the indexer started after that (at 12:30:10), ran about 29 minutes and then stopped, without exiting the program.
Did you kill the indexing process, or reboot your computer at about 1pm yesterday? If so, you may have a corrupt index. There are instructions somewhere on these forums about how to deal with that, maybe even on the WIKI. If not, we may need a tech support person to parse your log.
Report back and we'll see what we can do to get you going again.
I just restarted my computer for the umpteenth time and it is working again. I have restarted it twice since to see if it still works and it is. Thanks again!
I'd be cautious about dragging anything to the "shortcut bar" until SR6 comes out (supposed to be some point today... )
I've been unable to use L4 sinse monday and from what I understand SR6 should solve my issue (crash from dragging a command prompt [something to do with periscopes] to the shorcut bar)
As soon as I made my last post the indexer quit working again. It keeps restarting and shutting down until I turn off the function in Task Manager.
Thanks again!
Glad it's working for you again. Please let L4 finish indexing before you shut down again. It looks like it had at least two hours left at the end of your last indexing log.
"See you are up and running again. Let indexing finish this time, or something worse may happen to you." (with apologies to John 5:14)
Did you see my last post? The indexer quit working now.
No, I missed it before I posted.
Okay, you probably have a corrupt index file. Somewhere on these forums are instructions for how to recover from that. It doesn't look like it's in the Wiki yet. Maybe somebody else knows how to do this. Somewhere a file(s?) needs to be deleted, but I'm not sure which one. I'll see if I can find it. In the mean time, someone else may chime in and provide the information.
EDIT:
Okay, I think I found it. This comes from a Logos Tech solving a problem that may relate to yours (no guarantees), but at this point it couldn't hurt. Here are the directions:
Please close Logos 4 (and make sure the Indexer isn't running), then delete the following two files:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your name]\Local Settings\ApplicationData\Logos4\Data\vu2kh1y2.hay\DownloadManager\DownloadManager.db
C:\Documents and Settings\[your name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\vu2kh1y2.hay\UpdateManager\Updates.db
The next time Logos 4 starts up, it should recreate those filesautomatically when it checks for updates in the background. Since it'screating them from scratch, it should correctly detect the resourcesthat you've hidden and ignore them when downloading updates.
Note: if you're using Vista, or Win7 the directory won't match exactly. But I'm hoping you can figure that out easily enough. If you can't find the right directory, let me know which OS you're using and maybe I can point you in the right direction.
If this solution doesn't work, report back.
Great, now Logos 4 crashed and indexing says there are 2 hours and 55 minutes left...
I enabled Logging and started the program again and it started and is indexing at the moment. I'll get back to you when it stops indexing or quits again. Thanks for your help!
Glad it's working (for now at least). Let it finish before attempting to use L4. Theoretically you should be able to use it while its indexing, but since you had an index crash and restart, you'd be safer just leaving it alone for a while. At least, that's what I would do.
And you're welcome.
Indexer stopped working again.
Oh well.
Are you getting an error message with this?
Indexer crashes usually result from a corrupt resource in the L3 directory. Often these are old resources. If you could start logging and try again, the indexer log may show which file this is.
Hi Michael,
I didn't see an error in the first log file you posted.
After you get the "Logos 4 Indexer has stopped working" dialog and close it (by sending the report or not) is Logos4Indexer.exe still running in Task Manager? If so, this most likely means that it crashed on a corrupt LBXLLS or LSF resource, but has recovered and is still running. There's no need to terminate it; just let it keep running and see if it eventually finishes. The log file should show which resource caused the problem; if you're online, Logos 4 should also find an update for that file and download it automatically, which should help fix the problem.
Bradley, It is now stuck on 1 hour and 42 minutes and has been for an hour and a half. I started installing last Thursday! If I leave it running the pop-up usually keeps coming up again and again. The indexer has run all night this time. Here are my latest log files. Thanks again.

I probably have a lot of old book files. I've been using Logos since the beginning and have collections from a LOT of different publishers.
Maybe this will help.
