Is there a reason that Bible Explorer populates "Commentaries" so much slower than the Passage Guide?
I haven't really noticed that. I have a PG with just the Comm. section in it that runs at startup, and it always takes a while.
I have noticed that the time to populate the list goes down considerably when I run the BE or PG on a second passage...like it's cached something--even when the passage is in a different book.
I'll have to test out your observations.
This is a known bug in our database (doesn't look like it's assigned to be fixed for a specific release yet).
