I have 4 note files that show as I expected in my English translations in the visual options. For some reason the Lexham English Bible (I'm all up to date) only shows 2 of my note files. thanks
For the 2 note files, which are not appearing, wonder if either of them have Notes for a verse reference ?
Keep Smiling [:)]
Yes, they do. They were notes specifically on Bible verses. If I put other english versions up side by side, they appear in the others, but not Lexham.
Side question - should my notes and highlights in an English Bible also be appearing in my Greek NT?
should my notes and highlights in an English Bible also be appearing in my Greek NT?
Highlights are always "by selection," so they would be resource specific. Notes that are by reference should appear in every translation.
Can you give some side by side screen shots with references so we can try to replicate?
You read my mind :-)
The note in Acts 21:17 is clearly a note by selection and not reference. If it were by reference, the note indicator would be at the beginning of the verse, and not tied to "the brothers received us gladly." I don't know if you have two notes there or not (i.e. a "highlight" note & a regular note), but either way it is not by reference.
I will experiment with the Matthew passage.
Ahh, that explains it I think.
Is there a way to add highlights to a note so it carries through to other resources?
Yes. If you add the note by reference, not by selection. In the following screen shot, I have one note (as you can see in the "delete me" note file. This is carried across to all of my versified resources, including the LEB; ESV; and NA27.
Can vote for Logos User Voice suggestion => Highlighting and Notes Integration Improvements that includes:
Please add highlighting style option for by reference notes so can highlight verse(s) in all Bibles.
