Hello,

I have a friend who wants to buy a L4 package after seeing me using mine on my laptop. But he wants to use it at home on his desktop and also on his laptop. The problem is, that his laptop is way too old to run L4.

My question is, if he buys for example the Gold edition of L4, installs and sync it at home on his desktop.

Can he install L3 on his laptop and use the resources that are available for it? If so, is it just simple synching it with Logos or install from the dvd?

He can use L3 on his laptop. He can sync his licenses (after purchase) with the Logos server and use the ftp site to download L3 resources. Not all L4 resources will be available for L3 - some rely on the L4 engine - and not all L4 resources that will be available for L3 are available yet - those are coming. But any existing L3 resources and many L4 are currently available.

If he has never used either, he'll have a steep learning curve to learn both - and the differences - at the same time.
