ISBE (both editions) question

Sorry if this has been already discussed, but I couldn't find a thread with my direct question.

I have the ISBE (1915) edition in BW. The only modern dictionaries I have are Harpers, Holman, & New Bible Dictionary.

Here is my question: Would it be better (in your opinion) to suppliment this old ISBE with the IVP Essentials set or to purchase the new ISBE (1979-1995)?

Both are good. I have the new ISBE and the IVP NT and OT dictionaries that are available in Logos. I use them all regularly! So they would all be valued additions. Since the IVP are newer and contain newer information and research I would recommend getting the IVP NT and the OT ones first, then try to add ISBE as well.

Logos offers => The Essential IVP Reference Collection Version 3 that was on sale (almost a year ago); often used.

Logos has => International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (ISBE) (1979–1995) (4 vols.) with a review posted.

Also, Logos offers => International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, 1915 Edition

Thankful for IVP Reference Collection in my Logos library; watching for ISBE sale.

By the way, community bidding for => A Dictionary of Christ and the Gospels (2 vols.) ends tomorrow; currently $ 10 for 1,905 pages.

Thank you very much for the replies. Since I have the old ISBE, I think I will start with the IVP series to suppliment it. Maybe afterward I will invest in the new ISBE (funding permitting).

The IVP Essentials Collection was one of the first things that I added to my Logos Library.

Don't forget the OT volumes as well.

I waited until the ISBE went on sale to add it.
