Notes Character Spacing

I think I finally figured out what is driving my eyes crazy in Logos. I use some good looking fonts, but the character spacing of my NOTES are too close together. Bibles and commentaries are fine with the same font. Any ideas why this is the case and is this true in your NOTES as well?

Here's a large view - my notes are in the middle - with seemingly less space between words (and maybe letters)

Not sure how to make this able to be enlarged. Any ideas?

Jackie - This might sound really dumb… could you crop "Nicodemus" from the first note for me? From your screen shot, It does not look like Optima to me.

The kerning and tracking is definitely less than ideal. One thing you could try is to use full justified alignment instead of left align.

Have you tried changing the typeface?

Instead of just Nicodemus, perhaps you could get the entire first note. I just need it bigger. [:)]

If you can't crop the note, perhaps you could compare it to this screenshot. Notice the thin upstrokes of the "W". The "o" is telling as well. This is a bold Optima typeface. (I assume that your titles you have put in bold).

Thanks for your help on this. This (below) is currently a font called 'Lato' but this compression happens with all fonts I have tried in notes. I have used Optima as well...same problem left, middle, or right justified - same thing.

Jackie - Sorry to make you jump through that hoop. I was fairly certain that it wasn't Optima, but that is what your screen shot says you are using.

I am willing to play around with it a bit more if you would like. Would you mind copying and pasting the note above into a new post? That way, I can use the same text to see if I am getting the same problem or not. Your's does seem worse than what I have presently.

Jackie - I think I am going to have to punt. Sorry! I could not reproduce your problem at all. [:S] I even downloaded Lato. The screen shot below shows the same note with Optima & Lato.

I'll throw it out one more time and see if anyone takes the bait. I have a font problem with my notes (as mentioned in this post). Any insights?
