Upload,Crash,New computer

I have gotten tired of the crap. I now have to get a new computer because the last update from PROCLAIM, has killed my computer. Never again will I download off the net. And I love the fact you can not contact them directly, you have to go to this forum and "discuss" with other users. They don't even have the balls to stand behind there own product.

If your computer is a Mac, suggest making a Genius Bar appointment for free hardware diagnosis.

Apologies: personally suspect hardware failure had coincidental timing with software update. One issue with downloading stuff is available disk space, since completely filling disk provides opportunities for discussion.

Sorry that you are having problems William however the two statements...

does not lead to the conclusion that

Storks deliver babies.

The chances that downloading Proclaim 'killed your computer' to the extent that it required replacement are very remote. If it is indeed true I am sure that the people in Apple would pay you to go to the nearest store and present your computer for analysis. It would indeed be a unique example for them and would lead to a re-write of the operating system.

As you know OSX is written with the aim of not allowing programs to adversely affect each other - and definitely not to interfere with the underlying operating system. As to damaging the hardware – well! in my experience this is almost unheard of although some intense use of mechanical components my shorten the life of individual bits like poor quality hard drives.

I really think you could do us all a service by establishing the way in which Proclaim 'killed your computer' and letting Logos and Apple know so that they can take action to prevent us all suffering the same fate.
