Hebrew lexicons in iPad Bible Word Study

I have the Platinum package so I have BDB, TWOT, etc.  yet when I do a Bible Word Study in the Old Testament I get inconsistent results.  I mean in the definition section of the Bible Word Study.  For example if I do a look up of son, I don't get a definition with its links to the lexicons.  I first started noticing this in Nehemiah 3 when I wanted to look up bars and doors and didn't get a definition.  The translation and example uses work just fine.  When I compare this to my laptop I get good results, but not on the iPad even though I have the same lexicons which are downloaded on my iPad and while online.  I am doing the Bible Word Study from the NASB which is a reverse interlinear.  Is this a known problem?   Is anyone else seeing this?
