Bible Prioritization - Advanced limits

In prioritizing Bible versions, can someone explain the purpose of the "Set Prioritization Limits (advanced)" -- "Apply only to {of this type}" setting? Most Bibles have only one type available, and it is specific to that version, like "Bible (ESV)", "Bible NKJV", and "Bible HCSB". Interestingly enough the Message has only the generic type "Bible". And even more interesting, the NLT has two types available: "Bible (NLT)" and "English". I don't understand this.

I understand setting advanced limits, for example I have the LXX Lexicon prioritized for type "Greek" to be used only with the Greek LXX, so if I look up a word while in the LXX it goes first to the LXX Lexicon.

But I don't understand how this would work with Bibles, and i don't understand the different types for each version.

Apologies: personally not use "of this type" for my Bible prioritization. The type for a Bible has the versification scheme used. Thanks to Mark Barnes; wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Bible_Verse_Maps that shows versification numbering across various Bible types.

My advanced prioritization of Bibles uses "from this resource" so verse references pop-up with Bible text from that Bible instead of highest prioritized Bible (or Bible type).

AV 1873 and 1901 ASV both use Bible(KJV) versification so if 1901 ASV had advanced priorities for "type" Bible(KJV) that was higher than AV 1873 prioritization, then pop-up in AV 1873 would show 1901 ASV text.

The "Type" is a datatype. Different Bibles have different datatypes because different Bibles have different versification schemes. It's of no real use in setting advanced prioritisation, so just leave that field blank when prioritising Bibles.

The exception to this rule is the NLT. The 'English' in NLT is English headwords, used in the Bible Verse Finder at the end. If you prioritised the NLT, it would be useful to set "of this type" to "Bible (NLT)" to ensure the NLT doesn't open if you look up a dictionary word that happens to be listed in the Bible Verse Finder.
