4.5a: why is highlighting not placed equally?

i just updated to 4.5a from 4.3 today.

Notice the blue underline on the first line and how far beneath the text it is spaced. Then look at all the other underlining and how close it is place beneath the text.

Why is L4 doing this?

i erased it and redone it just to verify that i was using the same underlining (and i was). This looks ugly when viewing my resources.

I happened to put a highlight on the first line yesterday and noticed it became considerably higher than all other highlights, so I'm guessing this has to do with either that big 2 at the beginning of the line, or the superscripted 2 at the line below. Experiment and see.

Compared to the fact that it generally takes me about 10 hours fight with bugs and 'issues' of various kinds to get 5 minutes of actual work done, this seems like a very minor problem, if you excuse me saying so. [:)]

This happens with any initials (large letters at the beginning of a chapter), chapter numbers (as in this case), or change of point size. It is particularly annoying when using a highlighter… The highlighted text may be as tall as the initial throughout the entire line.

Alternately, there are at least two different levels of underscore; perhaps the blue was defined with a different one...experiment when creating a style

I think it is related to the large number to begin the chapter. It may also be somewhat graphics driver related, note in the first screen shot my '2' is not as large as the example in this thread? Anyway, note here, the difference between displaying this passage normally, and as "Bible text only". In the second one, the blue underline actually touches the bottom of the 'y':
