Bible Study

Hey, guys and gals, every time I do a Bible study from the opening page of Logos I can't get that particular biblical reference to delete, even when/after I delete it. It keeps coming up every time I remove it. Is there any help for this? It's just another annoyance I hope to not have to put up with. Thanks in advance for any suggestive helps.

Not sure what you are referring to…can u post a pic and show us what you mean[pictures paint a 1000 words]

[edit: are you talking about the 'Lectionary'? If so, I opened L4 and went to the home page, {lower left} 'Customize' and unchecked the 'Lectionary', then closed waited a few minutes then re-opened, they were gone[top of page][]

[ed-2: ok i c it. Hmm never used it......it's reloading now let see if the text is still there....}

On Logos 4.5b Beta 1 Home Page, entered a passage, but concur that passage does not want to stay deleted after highlighting passage and pressing delete. Quirky: was able to change passage to a single space. Seems only way to clear Home Page is close then relaunch.

ok, KS4J,

I reverted the layout to what I was working on before I typed the text and hit enter. Then I went back to the home page and highlighted the text and hit the delete button. closed - reopened - no text...??

[edit; I really do not have enough commentary's to use what I seen as the layout, but I will peruse it again and see if its worth a starter layout for saving....]

Okay, I wasn't very clear. When I enter a text into the "Enter passage or topic" box, I can't remove it unless I exit Logos. Any help?

Yuppers we got it.

If you have a layout created with resources already opened, load it. Then go to the home page and see if the text is still there, if it is NOT then save that layout as your startup layout or whatever[I have one called 'home' , it is my startup layout - meaning:when L4 starts there are no resources open.]

-If it is then - unfortunately - find a layout that does not have it, then save it as your 'home' or startup layout.

I played with it some more last night and it seems to just lock in for some reason, but it can just be ignored if you so choose.... since it does not go to the passge/text unless you click it....

-or-

I did notice that if I delete the text from the Homepage and go back to the layout I was in, then go to 'layouts'; go to the currently named saved layout you are in right-click' and 'update to current snapshot'of the current layout.....

ok, I just tried another way:

I typed in a text and hit enter, and let the layout load from my startup layout. I closed then reopened and the text was still there.

I went to the h-page and deleted the text then back to the layout and typed 'close all' and closed all resources. then closed after the sync arrows stopped turning.

I reopened and no text or resources were open...

Thanks, Robert, for all your efforts, but nothing worked for me. I probably didn't follow your instructions correctly...but that's the way it is. I'll just keep on closing Logos every time I do a Bible study and delete it that way. Or, as you say, just ignore it and go on my way.
