I am trying to install update on our seminary professors laptops. Does anyone know a work around to do this without having administrator rights. If so could you please post that information. I would greater appreciate any help with this problem.

When you get an answer to this question be sure to post it...and please...I beg of you...I PLEAD with you when you post the explanation of the solution be as clear as you can for us simple minded folk.
I've talked with Logos tech support. The basic issue is that for security reasons I log-in using a "user account." I got confused in the conversation because even if I have Logos installed on the adminstrator account if I compute all day in the user account it won't see "updates" in the cloud. This doesn't include purchases by the way...only program updates.
So I am looking forward to seeing the solution.
If you installed Logos 4 originally *with* admin rights (i.e. by explicitly running the installer as elevated), it will require that the updates be run elevated, too. That was a mistake I made on one of my installations.
Two or three of the recent updates (4.5 and later) have had prerequisite components installed (essentially as part of the operating system). Those prerequisites have had the requirement of being installed with elevated rights. I suspect that is out of Logos' control (apart from not relying on 3rd party components, which I believe was out of the question for these prerequisites).

Personally created a standard user account in Windows 7, then installed Logos 4 using standard account, which has been updated many times. Some Logso pre-requisites updates have prompted for administrator's password.
Typically use administrator's account for installing most software.
Wiki has a page about folder permissions => Fixing Logos 4 folder Ownership if want to change user account from administrative to standard.

You need administrator rights when you do a first installation of Logos4. This is straightforward if your Window's account is an Administrator type (see Control Panel >> User Accounts). If it is a Standard User or a non-Admin account:-
We all login to Windows via a user account, which is created when we get a new machine. We can also create one with Control Panel | User Accounts and this also tells us the type of account we have - Administrator or Standard User. If you installed Logos4 in the Admin account it cannot be used in another user account; you must use Logos4 where it was installed in order to see any "updates".
if I compute all day in the user account it won't see "updates" in the cloud. This doesn't include purchases by the way...only program updates.
Read carefully what I wrote above...
