Are we allowed to share personal books?
If the book isn't copyrighted.

Sometimes people place them in the general forum, but the "correct" place is the files forum.
FWIW - Logos has intentions of creating a new method of sharing files, but nothing has been announced publicly yet.
Yes, as long as it's no longer under copyright. People have been posting their .docx files in the Files sub-forum: http://community.logos.com/forums/66.aspx
I've been collecting an index of all the PBs that people have shared, here on the wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/User_Contributed_Personal_Books
Looking forward to seeing what you've got to share.
Thank you Rosie for doing this, that is really helpful
Awesome! thanks guys.[:D]
I'm curious why there is not more of this happening. I've wondered for a while why the older International Critical Commentary volumes are so expensive through Logos when they are in the public domain and pdfs are available online for free. I'd like to have these volumes in my Logos library, but apparently no one has taken the time to convert the pdfs to personal books. I've thought about doing it myself, but to mark all the page #s (you can do that with a personal book right?) and section headings and Scripture references would take quite some time (which, of course, is why Logos charges hefty prices for these books). I could do a sloppy personal book that just has the text, but then I'd always be wanting to find out the page # for a citation. I wonder if there is any way we could make a joint effort to do each volume - divvy up the chapters to those interested and all share them. Too bad Logos doesn't bring down the price for a book that is available freely as a pdf.
Thanks, Tom. That makes sense. I assume we're allowed to make personal books of books they sell; we just cannot post them on the Logos website?
