Is there a quick way to search for the "words of Mary (Theotokos) " Like we have the words of Christ in red.....
Yep. You'll have to search for all iterations of "Mary said", "saith Mary", "she said" WITHIN 5 WORDS of Mary, etc, then use Visual Filters to highlight those words (not the words she is about to speak), and go from there to highlight the actual words she spoke. Rather labor intensive, eh? There's probably an easier way that hasn't occurred to me yet. The Wiki article and link to a tutorial video is HERE.
Conversely, Mary L. Hickey's book, "Arise and call her blessed" contains all the words of Mary. Unfortunately, not a Logos resource, but this is snipped from Google Books:
It's probably easier (and more complete and correct) to just search for Mary and do the rest by hand - e.g. decide between Mary (theotekos) and Mary (sister of Martha) etc. I don't think that automation gets better than human scanning of the text here. And I don't think its much at all (there are surely resources in Logos that reference all appearances of Mary in the NT in terms of a passage list for those who neither trust Ctrl-F nor want to read through the gospels sequentially)
We have the "Words of Christ in red" because people did this by hand, decided about unclear texts (John 3...) and Logos produced a datatype based on this.
Thanks,
This is what I was thinking but I wanted to ask....As there might have been a book published that has all the words mary spoke.
but like you say it is not.....a logos product....or not yet atleast....
